You know the question. Why is life so hard sometimes? If I could just give you a run down of one of my not so great days you would not doubt I have certainly asked that question many times among many others like “Why is it taking so long for this prayer to be answered?” or “Why can’t you just give me one day where my children listen and do what I tell them the first time?” or my favorite “Why must I put up with people whose sole purpose in life is to make my life difficult?”
Well, one thing I am learning, cause I always am, is that in every situation we go through God is trying to teach us something about who He is and who He wants us to be and sometimes it isn’t about us at all, but about giving Him glory. Galatians 5:22 speaks about the fruit of the spirit “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.” When we are going through something He is teaching us one of these characteristics and to lean on Him to manifest itself within us. If it is a prayer that seems to be taking longer than expected He is not only teaching us patience, but His timing! If we are facing a difficult situation He may trying to get you to completely to rely on Him for your peace not a glass of wine, a pill, or venting to everyone in your contacts list.
To make this short and sweet, He wants all or nothing. If your going through something think about what fruit He is trying to manifest in your life? If you feel your being attacked that is a whole other blog 🙂 But be of good cheer, your heavenly Father already has won that fight!
