Ever meet people that are just so happy and content that they begin to be contagious or even annoying to those around them? Yea, you know the ones…you don’t know what makes them so happy, but you like their “energy” so you tolerate them for a time? Some people wonder what exactly is their source of happiness that makes them so and some people just want to bottle up their energy and market it. There are those though that have a contagious spark that everyone wants to be around, wants to know, and wants to be part of their life.
I have met only a handful of those people and I am fortunate enough to know their “secret.” Not only is it their morals and values that give them that magnetic attractiveness to me, it is two things really. One, it is the fact that they have learned to be content in whatever life situation is given them as Philppians 4:11 reveals and they have learned that dwelling in the house of the Lord is a state of mind and a condition of the heart! It is their everyday attitude of a continual mind-set of awe and inspiration of their Creator in His faithfulness and grace! Believe me, I know it is easy to get down and dwell on the things of this life, but it is so much more easier to dwell on His goodness, and His Lordship than the things this world throws at us. Once you get just one taste of His peace, His goodness, His love, His mercy, His grace, His forgiveness, His victories, His dwelling place, and His spirit there is no place a person would rather be!
I encourage you to seek these kind of people out or better yet if you are not one of these kind of people, seek out reasons as to why you are not 🙂 Get rid of the things that are not making you one of these people! Life is only a blink of an eye, live it with the “spark” that make people want to be around you!
Philippians 4:11-13 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
